Dragonfly Birthday

Hello from the Magenta Tiger,

Dragonflies are so in at the moment. There will be plenty more Dragonfly Cards being posted in the next couple of months. I’ve watercolored this cute little Dragonfly that is from the Timeless Texture Stamp Set in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue.

HOW DID I MAKE THIS CARD?

  • Card Base: Shimmery White Cardstock (10.5cm x 29.7cm)
  • Layer 1: Pool Party Cardstock (8.5cm x 20cm)
    • Run through the Big Shot in the Large Polka Dot Texture Embossing Folder
  • Layer 2: Shimmery White Cardstock (10cm x 14.3cm)
    • I’ve stamped Dragonflies from the Timeless Textured Stamp Set in Archival Basic Gray Ink. I’ve watercolored each dragonfly in Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay with Aqua Painters.
    • Stamp a separate Dragonfly in Shimmery White Cardstock, watercolour it as above and fussy cut with Paper Snips
  • Layer 3: Pool Party Cardstock (2.5cm x 5.5cm)
  • Sentiment: ‘Happy Birthday’ stamped in Shimmery White Cardstock in Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Ink from the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set
  • Accessories: Perfect White Accents, I’ve rounded ALL my corners with the Envelope Punch Board.
  • Glue: Assemble once all elements once completed with the Glue of your Choice. Use Dimensionals the sentiment and the ‘fussy cut’ Dragonfly.

Little Dear

Hi Everyone,

It’s time to create with the current Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #214 as inspiration. This sketch by Jen T is simply lovely. I’ve had so many ideas but decided on using my ‘Made with Love’ stamp set to make a Christmas Card.

Here is my card:

This little dear from the “Made with Love’ photopolymer stamp set is such a sweetie. I’ve watercolored her with Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Watermelon Wonder. I’ve highlighted her Watermelon Wonder bow with crystal effects (ear & tail). My sentiment is from the photopolymer stamp set ‘Flurry of Wishes’.  I created my tag with the ‘Note Tag’ Punch and created the hole at the top with the ‘Curvy Corner Trio’ Punch. A touch of gold metallic thread and a Gold sequin or two top off my card.

Watermelon Wonder and Gold might just be my new favourite colour combination for Christmas Cards.

Welcome Baby

Hello everyone,
Tonight, I’m playing along with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches 211.

I love the simplicity of the sketch.

Here is my creation:

Blushing Bride is the base colour for this card. I have embossed Whisper White Cardstock with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder as my first layer. The jumpsuit was created with the ‘Something for Baby’ stamp set and Baby’s First Framelits.
My sentiment is stamped in Blushing Bride from ‘Petite Pairs’. The Blushing Bride sequin trim and a dash of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper add a little bling to the card. Keen any loose sequins when cutting the sequin trim for use at a later time.
