CASEing the Catty 138 – Holidays

Hello, it’s Fi from the Magenta Tiger,

This week we’re CASEing from the ‘Holidays’ section of the Catty. I love everything about Christmas: presents, Christmas Tree and of course making my Christmas Cards. I ran Christmas in July Class yesterday which means I’ve officially started making my stash! Tonight I’ve cased a card on page 118.

I’ve changed the orientation, stamp sets and embellishments but used the gorgeous Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White candy stripe paper as my background.

Here is my card:

A little Gold Glimmer Reindeer – I love it! The Reindeer is from the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits and is a favourite of mine.

Thank-you for hopping along on this weeks CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop. Hop along to Angela‘s gorgeous wreath card.

You can join the Challenge every week at our Facebook page

Happy crafting, Love Fi xxx

Jolly Cuties

Hi Everyone,

My creation for today is inspired by the current Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #297.

Once again, I have used my Christmas Cuties stamp set to create this cute little elf.  I’ve watercolored him with Night of Navy, Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Smoky Slate. My little Elf (fussy cut with my snips) is raised off the card with dimensionals. I’ve highlighted his Smoky Slate bells with crystal effects, this gives a clear shine to the bells. I’ve embossed large polka dots onto my Night if Navy Cardstock as well as my diagonal layer of Whisper White cardstock. The ‘Large Polka Dot’ embossing folder is definitely my favourite. I could incorporate it into every project I make! My ‘Jolly’ sentiment was cut using the ‘Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies’ and the ‘Big Shot’.  Some ‘Dazzling Details’ glitter adhesive add a little sparkle to the ‘Jolly’! To finish off any card, I can’t help but add ‘Silver Metallic Thread’ and Silver ‘Rhinestone Jewels’ to a project.

Little Dear

Hi Everyone,

It’s time to create with the current Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #214 as inspiration. This sketch by Jen T is simply lovely. I’ve had so many ideas but decided on using my ‘Made with Love’ stamp set to make a Christmas Card.

Here is my card:

This little dear from the “Made with Love’ photopolymer stamp set is such a sweetie. I’ve watercolored her with Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Watermelon Wonder. I’ve highlighted her Watermelon Wonder bow with crystal effects (ear & tail). My sentiment is from the photopolymer stamp set ‘Flurry of Wishes’.  I created my tag with the ‘Note Tag’ Punch and created the hole at the top with the ‘Curvy Corner Trio’ Punch. A touch of gold metallic thread and a Gold sequin or two top off my card.

Watermelon Wonder and Gold might just be my new favourite colour combination for Christmas Cards.

WATERCOLOR + CHRISTMAS = HEAVEN

It was love at first sight when I caught sight of the ‘Christmas Cuties’ stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue.  I love to watercolour any chance I can get! I watercolored this sweet little angel from the “Christmas Cuties’ stamp set using my Aqua Painter and the following stamp pads: Real Red, Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride. My sentiment ‘Christmas Blessings’ has been embossed using Cherry Cobbler embossing power. I’ve embossed my Real Red cardstock using one of my favorite embossing folders; Softy Falling. The Mint Macaron long banner was created with the Banner Triple Punch.  I’ve finished off my card with Red Glimmer Paper and Gold Metallic Thread.

Global Design Project # 11

Hi everyone,

I’ve been following the Global Design Project since it started. Today is the first time I’m playing along with the Christmas Themed Challenge Global Design Project #11.

image1-3

I love the Festive Season! I’m a stickler for the Traditional Christmas colours: Red, Green, Gold and Silver but today I’ve decided to use Bermuda Bay and Silver. Simply a gorgeous combination for any occasion.

Here is my design:

image1-2

I’ve used the Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set in conjunction with the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies for my sentiment. I’ve embellished ‘Merry’ with Crystal Effects and embossed ‘Christmas’ with Silver Embossing using VersaMark. My background has been embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Embossing folder and I’ve added the gorgeous Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Silver Metallic Thread and Silver Sequins to embellish. I rounded my corners with the built-in corner rounder punch on the Envelope Punch Board.
