Hello from the Magenta Tiger,

Today was the Official Launch of the New Annual Stamping’ Up!® Catalogue 2016-2017!

2016-annual-catalog_eng

There are some amazing goodies that I’m really excited to showcase. I’ve created a selection of projects showcasing some new and some returning goodies. Bumblebees, Copper Emboss Powder, Layering Square Framelits and the five new In-Colours for 2016-2018 are just a few!

hello bumblebee

I totally fell in love with the Bumblebee in the ‘Pun Intended’ stamp set, as soon as I saw it.  I think it’s going to feature in many more of my creations. My bumblebees were stamped with Versamark and Black Emboss Powder to create shine and texture. I’ve  watercoloured them with Daffodil Delight in (body = intense, wings = lightly) and then added Clear Wink of Stella  on the wings for a little sparkle.

I ran the Daffodil Delight Cardstock though the Big Shot in the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder. The squares were then cut out using with the 1″ square in the Layering Squares Framelits.  These are going to come in super handy! The ‘Hello’ sentiment is from the Hello You Thinlits. I’ve lightly watercoloured with Daffodil Delight ink and Clear Wink of Stella. I’ve added Gold Metallic Thread in diagonals across the cardstock for an extra embellishment and I lifted the bumblebees off the page with dimensionals to make them look like they are buzzing above the paper.

My Kraft Paper Gift Bag was created using the Stampin’ Up!® Gift Bag Punch Board. I’ve only used one image in this project, the ‘Ladybugs’ from the Love You Lots Stamp Set. I stamped the ladybugs in Crumb Cake all over the Kraft Paper and coloured the bodies with Clear Wink of Stella. Super cute and super effective!

On the front of my Gift Bag I’ve draped the 1cm Ruched Ribbon in all 5 of the 2016-2018 In Colors : Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugar Plum, Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach and Dapper Denim as well as Silver Sequin Trim. The front ladybird has been watercolour in Crumb Cake and punch out with the 1″ Circle Punch.

I’ve created 15 Tags (3 of each of the 2016-2018 In-Colors) to pop in the Gift Bag. The Tag was punched with the 2″ Circle Punch and hole by the Scalloped Tag Topper. I’ve threaded the Ruched Ribbon through the hole and stapled it securely with the Handheld Stapler. I’ve watercolored the Ladybirds in the 2016-2018 In-Color Inks and punched the circle with the 1″ Circle Punch. I’ve used a Clothespin (coloured in with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Marker.

Thank-You Blooms

There are some projects you start and have no idea what the end result wiIl be, I was in this situation with this card. I started by Heat Embossing the big ‘Bloom’ from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set on Shimmery White cardstock. The outline of the bloom stands when embossed when the image is watercoloured with my aqua painters. I’ve watercolored the bloom with predominantly with Sweet Sugarplum and a little Flirty Flamingo inks. The leaves are Emerald Envy and Mint Macaron. I’ve added a little Clear wink of Stella over the bloom for that extra glimmer.

My ‘Thank-you’ sentiment and border are from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set (Heat embossed in Gold). I’ve used Gorgeous Grunge (THANK-YOU Stampin’ Up!® for continuing this amazing stamp set!) in two ways to create the background of my card. Firstly Gold Heat Embossed dots and Crumb Cake stamped dots. A little Sweet Sugarplum Rushed Ribbon and some Gold metallic thread to finish the card off!

You’ve gotta love a ‘shaker’ card. The metallic sequins  happily move around inside the card. The Designer Series Paper I have used is Pop of Pink: featuring Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Gold Foil.

I’ve started by cutting out the overlapping hearts in the DSP with 2 hearts from the New Sweet and Sassy Framelits Set. I’ve then cut the Melon Mambo hearts to go around the cut outs with the same size and one size up. I’ve then added Clear Wink of Stella for a little shimmer. I’ve attached a window sheet to the back of the DSP. I’ve attached the new Adhesive Foam Strips to the window sheets then filled the hole with Assorted Metallic Sequins.

I’ve then attached the Whisper White DSP with Gold foil strips to the foam strips. The card front is completed! The card front was then attached to Basic Black cardstock. My ‘Birthday wishes’ sentiment has been stamped with versa mark and Melon Mambo ink then heat embossed with clear powder. The Melon Mambo and Basic Black banner ends were created with the Banner Triple Punch.

Bermuda Bay Baby Box

image

This versatile and handy little box was created using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits. I’ve texture embossed the Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Lucky Stars embossing folder to give me the stars pattern. I’ve added Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim and 1/8″ Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon for a little draped detail. I’ve double stamped the stripy ‘Wondersuit’  and the ‘Made with Love’ sentiment from the Made with Love Stamp Set. I’ve stamped the 1st image in Versamark  and the 2nd image with Veramark & Bermuda Bay ink. I’ve then added clear emboss powder and heat embossed. The ‘Wondersuit’ is cut out with the matching Framelit from Baby’s First framelits. The ‘Made with Love’ sentiment was punched out using the 1″ Circle Punch.

Andrew and I spend some time in London recently. We spent a day exploring Greenwich, visiting Cutty Sark. (British Clipper Ship) This is my favourite photo from that trip.

I haven’t loved any Stamping’ Up!® paper more than the Affectionately Yours DSP. My background paper has the most magnificent  floral Copper Foil pattern, just devine!  The ‘love’ sentiment I used is from the Watercolour Words Stamp Set and has been Heat Embossed with the Copper Emboss Powder. I’ve also heat embossed  some Pansys from then Flower Shop stamp set with the Copper emboss powder.

Thanks for stopping by. I’ve enjoyed creating some gorgeous new projects with my new goodies. I look forward to seeing you all at my Stampin’ Up! Catalogue Launch in a couple of weeks.
