ESAD 2018 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

Hello from the Magenta Tiger,

Welcome to the ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Blog Hop. We are creating projects using some new gorgeous products that were released on January 3rd this year.

I’ve created two cards tonight one with the Bird Banter Stamp Set and one with the Petal Palette Bundle.

My first card uses the Bird Banter Stamp Set and the amazing Stampin’ Blends.

I’ve stamped the Toucan many times in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White Card Stock. I’ve then coloured each the same with Stampin’ Blends: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Pink Pirouette.

For my second card I’ve used the Petal Passion Suite: Petal Palette Stamp Set, Petals & More Thinlits Dies, Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and Whisper White 1.4″ Organza Ribbon.

I’ve stamped the Flower/Leaves in Basic Grey Archival Ink and then coloured it with ink and water using Aquapainters.

  • Flower: Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride
  • Leaves: Wild Wasabi and Lemon Lime Twist

Thank-you for hopping along today, I hope you have enjoyed what everyone else creates with new products from the Occasions Catalogue or the Sale-a-bration Catalogue. Next up is Megan

CASEing the CATTY 160 – Picture Pefect Party

Welcome to the Magenta Tiger!

Welcome to the first CASEing the Catty for 2018! We are CASEing from the AMAZING new 2018 Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalogue (pages 4 though 9)

I’ve CASED the Colour Combination on page 9. The colours in the card I’ve CASED are Rich Razzleberry, Flirty Flamingo and Peek-a-book Peach, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

I’ve substituted Calypso Coral for Flirty Flamingo and Pumpkin Pie for Peek-a-boo Peach.

Here is my card:

I’ve Stamped four of the Hanging Baskets in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Thick Whisper White Card Stock (because I’m using blends!) as well as many gorgeous little butterflies.

I’ve used Stampin’ Blends to colour the hanging baskets and butterflies from the Hanging Garden Stamp Set on page 30 of the New Occasions Catalogue.

The sentiment ‘SENDING LOTS OF LOVE’ also from the Hanging Garden Stamp Set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and popped up on Glue Dots: a little dimension.

CASE-ing the Catty 156 – Case ANY project from the Annual Catalogue with a Christmas Twist!

Hello from the Magenta Tiger,

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, tonight we are CASEing a project from the Annual Catalogue and giving it a Christmas Twist.

This week I created a non Traditional Christmas Card using Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party. I’ve taken inspiration from the Layout and Technique used on page 24 of the Annual Catalogue (card on the Right).

Here is my Card:

I started with a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock because it is great for projects that involve ink and water. The ornaments are from the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set and the ‘Joy to the World’ sentiment is from the Hearts Come Home Stamp set. I’ve heat embossed these using Versamark, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the heat tool.

I covered the cardstock with water using a Stampin’ Spritzer, then I’ve added several drops of Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party ink. I moved the cardstock around to allow the ink to cover it fully.

To finish off my card, I’ve wound some Copper Metallic Thread around the top of the card and also created a bow. I used the Ruffled 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder top add that last touch!

I hope you’ll continue to enjoy the Blog Hop. Next up is Elizabeth Gross.

ESAD Stampin’ Blends Blog Hop

Hello from the Magenta Tiger,

Welcome to the ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) Stampin’ Blends Blog Hop. We are creating projects using the new and amazing Stampin’ Blends that Stampin’ Up!® released recently.  For someone who loves to colour: me, these Blends are AMAZING!!!!!!!

The Stampin’ Blends are super easy to use. There are currently 12 Stampin’ Up! ® Colours in the range each with a light and dark marker. There are two additional colours Ivory and Bronzer plus a Colour Lifter.

I’ve used a majority of these colours in my projects tonight:

I decided to use the Garden Girl Stamp Set as it gave me the opportunity to use as many of the Stampin’ Blends Colours as possible on one card.

I’ve stamped my image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White Thick Cardstock and then started to inking up the image. I like to add the Light Marker first, then a touch of the dark marker to create a shadow. I then Blend the two with the light marker.

The more you play with your Stampin’ Blends the better you get …

Thank-you for hopping along today, I hope you have enjoyed what everyone else creates with the Stampin’ Blends. Next up is Libby

CASEing the CATTY 145 – Gift Packaging (Both Catalogues)

Welcome to the Magenta Tiger!

Welcome to another week of CASEing the Catty! We are CASEing gift packaging from both catalogues. I made a gift card holder for my Father-on-Law Stuart using the Mini Treat Bags Thinlits.

I’ve CASED the Striped Treat Bag on page 6 of the Holiday Catty. As it was Stuarts’ birthday last week I decided to use the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper for this project (masculine feel).

Cheryl and Stuart are travelling down to Melbourne next weekend from Port Macquarie for a visit. I’m going to put a Bunnings Voucher in my little treat bag for Stuart.

Here it is:

My project uses the ‘Just For You’ Stamp from the Merry Little Labels Stamp Set. This sentiment can be used for any occasion/gift: Birthday, Thank-you, Sympathy or Christmas. I used the co-ordinating Everyday Labels Punch.

To add a little detail to the Wood Textures DSP, I have stamped some tools from the Guy Greetings Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink.
I’ve stamped the ‘Just For You’ in Cajun Craze Ink. This sentiment has been punched out with the Everyday Labels Punch. I’ve also punched out a Cajun Craze and Early Espresso Everyday Label punch to attach under the sentiment.
My labels have been attached to the treat bag with Gold Mini Sequin Trim.

I hope Stuart will like his treat bag, I think he’ll like the voucher more! Thank-you for hopping over to the Magenta Tiger. Join us in the weeks’ Challenge on our Facebook Page.

CASEing the CATTY 152 – Painted Autumn & Spooky Nights

Hello from the Magenta Tiger,

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, it all Painted Harvest and Spooky Nights this week.

The Painted Harvest Stamp Set is probably one of my most favourite Stamp Sets in the Holiday Catalogue. It’s so versatile. You can create a thank-you card with autumnal colours, a birthday card with pretty pinks or a Christmas Card with rich reds.

This week I created a Christmas Card with the Painted Harvest Stamp Set and a few other items from the Holiday Catalogue.

Here is my Card:

Card Base: Cherry Cobbler Cardstock

Layer 1: Champagne Foil – run through the Big Shot in the Quilt Top Textured Embossing Folder

Layer 2: Watercolour Paper – after I did all the stamping I added water to the image with my Stampin’ Spritzer. It waters down/smoges the image.

Sunflower

  • Petals Layer 1 – Powder Pink Ink
  • Petals Layer 2 – Cherry Cobbler
  • Center Layer 1 – Daffodil Delight
  • Center Layer 2 – Early Espresso

Sentiment: ‘Merry Christmas from our family to yours’ is from the Snowflakes Sentiments Stamp Set. I’ve inked the Stamp with my Stampin Markers (Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso) hence the two colours of the image.

I hope you’ll continue to enjoy the Blog Hop. Next up is my stamping pal across the ditch Sandra Collett
